The presence of security forces is only second to presence of a beautiful beach, rich soil and fresh air. The show was attended and guarded by a a dozen of officers, who during the play had engaged in the happening... A big thank a due for their vigilance...

We were having rehearsals under the shelter of this tree accompanied by a dog who seem to have found progression amusing.

The project was initiated in mid 2006 with a sponsorship with ANA or Arts Network Asia (Logo above) .

1st performance in kalpitiya

This was a moment we awaited for a long time in this project that turned out to be much more interesting and and challenging for the group owing to the tight security of the area.

In the frame to the left is the meeting of a peasant with an officer, who puts him in jail for no obvious reason other than perceived threat to him by the poor.

The audience is encapsulated in the happening as the actors are real-worldly and they have come closer than the traditional proscenium stage.
